Want to feel good?
Beet Root powder contains high amounts of the amino acid betaine, which acts as a stimulant for the production of SAM-e (S-adenoslmethionine). And SAM-e is known to naturally boost production of certain hormones, such as dopamine and serotonin, the hormones responsible for feelings of well-being, relaxation, and pleasure. Betaine is certainly an anti-depressant of the first order!
About Sam-e: Studies have shown that SAM-e is just as effective as anti-depressant medications without the side affects frequently associated with the medications (headaches, sleeplessness and sexual dysfunction). Plus, antidepressants tend to take six to eight weeks to begin working, while SAM-e seems to begin much more quickly than that. Other studies have shown that SAMe may reduce pain and inflammation in the joints ,as well as promote cartilage repair. It was also found to relieve osteo and rheumatoid arthritis symptoms and was the equivalent to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs in diminishing morning stiffness, decreasing pain, reducing swelling, improving range of motion, and increasing walking pace, without the horrible side effects!
Detox and Cleanse!
As well as aiding the body in recovering from depression, Beet Root helps loosen the mucous buildup from the colon walls, thus resulting in a cleaner colon! And that, combined with the betaine's liver detox properties, make Beet Root powder an excellent colon cleanse/detox product.
