Green Tea Cake: 4 eggs 1 3/4 cup flour 1 1/2 cup sugar 3/4 cup butter 2 TBSP green tea powder 1 TBSP chocolate chips (optional)
Put butter in a bowl and stir until soft. Add sugar, mix well. Add eggs. Sift flour and green tea powder together, add to mix, add chips if you want. Place baking wax paper into medium loaf pan (you can grease 3-4 mini loaf pans and make individual cakes instead). Bake at 360 degrees for 35 minutes.
Green Tea Cream Cheese Frosting 1/2 - 3/4 pack cream cheese, room temp. 1 cup butter, room temp. 2 cups icing sugar, sifted 1/2 tbsp Green Tea Powder 1/2 tsp vanilla
- Beat the cream cheese and butter in a mixer at medium speed, until creamy.
- Add in 1 cup of icing sugar, Green Tea Powder and vanilla into the mixture and mix until combined.
- Gradually add in the remaining icing sugar until the frosting attains the consistency and sweetness as desired.
Use your frosting on cupcakes, muffins, and cakes.
Instant Green Tea Ice Cream Take your favorite vanilla ice cream such as Hagen Daz or Ben & Jerry’s from the fridge and let it soften thoroughly. Mix 1 teaspoon of Green Tea Powderinto the softened ice cream. Put it back in the fridge to harden a bit for a few minutes. Serve it on a dish and add sweet red beans from a can or chocolate syrup depending on your individual taste. It is truly delicious!
Green Tea Shortbread Cookies 1 cup all purpose flour 1 TBSP green-tea powder 1/4 tsp salt 1/4 pound unsalted butter 1/4 cup sugar
Sift flour, tea powder and salt into a small bowl, set aside Place butter in the bowl of an electric mixer. cream on medium speed till fluffy, 3-5 minutes. Add sugar; continue to beat until very light in color and fluffy; about 2 minutes. Add flour mixture until well incorporated. Roll dough to 1/4 inch thickness on a flour dusted surface; chill in refrigerator or freezer until firm, about 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 325 F. Line baking sheets with parchment. cut chilled dough with cookie cutters of your choice. Gather scraps together, re-roll, chill and cut shapes.
