Relaxes, soothes, restores and balances. It is relaxing and soothing and can be helpful in reducing stress and high blood pressure. Eases tired muscles and balances head tension. It can be used directly on the skin for urgent needs such as bee stings, minor cuts and burns. Lavender essential oil, harvested in the lush French countryside, promotes a sense of calm and relaxation.
Add several drops to a pint of lukewarm water and use as a final hair rinse. A few drops of the oil in a hot bath will relieve anxiety and produce a pleasant drowsiness. In a cool bath the oil will refresh and energize. Blend lavender oil and your favorite massage oil, when used for massage produces a relaxing, calming effect. To refresh rooms put a few drops in potpourri. Place a drop or two in the vacuum cleaner to refresh your environment. In linen and clothing storage areas rub lavender oil directly on wooden shelving to help deter moths and keep fabrics smelling fresh. Put a drop or two of lavender oil in the ironing water.
